On Fridays in October, at 9:30 PM, Espaço Porta-Jazz located in the iconic Praça da República, welcomes artists and jazz lovers to celebrate a living, vibrant tradition. These sessions bring musicians together for moments of sharing and improvisation, while audiences enjoy an authentic, informal, and creativity-filled atmosphere.
On October 14th, traditional Portuguese melody takes center stage through fado singer Sandra Cristina at the free event “Há Fado no Mercado” (“There’s Fado in the Market”). The fado singer will bring the atmosphere of local restaurants to life, performing at 8 PM at Culto ao Bacalhau and around 9 PM at Peixe no Mercado. This cultural celebration follows the memorable appearance of João Robalinho, who on August 12th brought the essence of fado to Peixe no Mercado and Nelson dos Leitões.
On November 6th, Sala Suggia, at the iconic Casa da Música, will host a special performance by the Porto Symphony Orchestra in support of the Portuguese League Against Cancer. In a perfect harmony between art and social responsibility, the orchestra joins this noble cause, showing how the impact of musical expression reaches far beyond the stage to unite the community around a greater purpose.

With the energy and dynamism of host Wandson Lisboa and DJ Elísio Sousa, guests can expect around three hours of pure fun, with the audience setting the pace of the celebration.
Keeping bingo’s classic structure, the twist comes from replacing numbers with hit songs, putting guests’ musical knowledge to the test. The event also invites relaxed moments of singing, dancing, lip-syncing, and trivia games.

If you’re interested in the art of pottery, the Pottery Wheel workshop at Oficina Vidra is an excellent introduction to ceramics, with the chance to take home two of your own creations afterward. No prior experience is required. The workshop takes place on October 18th and 31st, from 3 PM to 6 PM.
For those who enjoy pictorial expression, the Tile Painting workshop, hosted at doBarro, invites participants between September 3rd and 29th to pay tribute to Portugal’s noble tile-making tradition, drawing inspiration from patterns, façades, and urban memories.
Graphic art enthusiasts will find enriching options at Oficina Mescla throughout October: the Tetrapak Printmaking workshop, focused on the drypoint technique using repurposed materials (October 17th), and the Linocut course, focused on linoleum carving and numbered print editions (October 24th).
