Comporta – Alentejo

Located on the coast of the Alentejo, the Comporta beach has been winning more and more admirers over the years. Last year, the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia considered it the chiquest beach on the continent – surpassing the famous beaches of Greece, Côte d’Azur and Croatia.

This enormous beach at Comporta is very sought-after by tourists given its easy access, as well as the good parking spots. Resting within the limits of the Natural Reservation of the Sado Estuary, this beach is a preserved natural space, where the original vegetation on the dunes is preserved, encircled by a forest of pine trees. The sea has good conditions for the practice of kitesurf, and some competitions take place here. So, if you want to get to know Portuguese beaches, this one is certainly an excellent option.

Praia de Moledo – Caminha

For those who prefer a colder sea – even in Summer – Moledo beach is a great tip. Located in Caminha, near the border with Spain, this beach is one of the most beautiful in the North region, with a distinct landscape worthy of a postcard photo.

The strong wind and agitated sea make surfers and windsurfers pick this spot for their adventures. Encircled by dunes, dense vegetation and wood passageways, Moledo beach is a mandatory place for well-spent holidays. Parking spots, sanitary facilities and several restaurants in the area make this place even more convenient and attractive. So, if you want to get to know Portuguese beaches, don’t leave this one out!
